Update our Trendeo France database

Public tags, Usine du Futur criteria, and details of fundraising have been integrated into our Trendeo France - Observatoire de l'emploi et de l'investissement en France database.

In early March, we made a number of modifications and improvements to our database. Find out more on the website:

1. Public tags

Today, tags are a feature open to every customer and user, to add a brand or custom field to a number of projects. We decided to create tags shared by all our users:

• sustainable development, with 23 sectors (solar, wind, methanization, hydrogen, etc.). More than 4,500 projects;
• the automotive industry: this tag groups together projects in the automotive sector and those of automotive subcontractors, in sectors such as plastics processing, metallurgy and others. There are 2995 projects related to this tag ;
• the aeronautics sector: the reasoning is the same as for the automotive sector. There are 1,160 projects in this sector;
• International development: this tag identifies companies with plans to expand abroad, either by setting up operations or by exporting. Over 900 projects have been identified.

Coming soon: the addition of new tags, Innovation and High-Tech.

2. Factory of the Future criteria

We have integrated a qualitative rating of investment projects, based on 6 criteria linked to the notion of the Factory of the Future, defined with Fives, EDF and theINSTITUT DE LA REINDUSTRIALISATION.

These criteria are :

• the use of digital technologies;
• production flexibility ;
• energy efficiency;
• social efforts;
• territorial efforts and
• environmental efforts.

The benefit of rating for users is to be able to visualize best practices, identify the most qualitative investment projects and obtain details about them. When a project is identified, our analysts add a specific comment.

Integration has been systematic since March 2022. Our analysts have ex-post rated over 1,000 projects announced between June 2020 and February 2022.

3. Fundraising details

The "Fundraising" field is evolving. Up to now, it only had two values, 0 or 1. From now on, it will be possible to identify the rank of the fund-raising and to identify companies seeking funds. The field can therefore take 6 values:

• Research: the company is in the process of seeking funds, but not yet finalized.
• Seed: for seed financing, generally under €1 million
• Series A: the first round of financing, generally in excess of one million euros, to finance the company's development.
• Then come the B, C and "D and +" series.
