This morning, business real estate group Cushman & Wakefield published its 2009 European Cities Monitor. It ranks 34 European cities according to their attractiveness. The Cushman & Wakefield study is based on an interview survey of 500 major European companies, with Paris in second place, behind London, in an unchanged position. Only Lyon, among French cities, managed to make it into the ranking, in 19th position, while 5 German and 5 British cities are included. Four French cities did not feature in the ranking but were mentioned by respondents: Among other interesting points raised by the study, three Eastern European cities come out on top when companies are asked about their expansion plans in Europe: Warsaw, Moscow and Bucharest. Paris comes just behind, ahead of London and Brussels. To download the study on the Cushman & Wakefield website
