Solar energy takes center stage during President Macron's visit to India, with theInternational Solar Alliance Summit.
For the occasion, we have selected from our Industries & Stratégies database, which lists industrial investments announced around the world, the solar power generation projects announced in India since January 2016 - when our database was launched.
From 2016 to date, 79 projects have been announced in India (see map below), with a total investment of $6.5 billion and 1,400 jobs expected. The cumulative capacity of these investments is 8,880 MW.
The projects are supported by some 60 companies, including NCL India, West Bengal State Electricity, Azure Power, Aditya Birla Solar and NTPC.
