As in the first two months of 2022, the month of March, as seen by our global industrial investment database, shows significant investment in semiconductors, with an announcement from Intel Corporation in Europe - for a USD 13 billion investment in Ireland - and another from Foxconn for USD 9 billion in Saudi Arabia.

The most job-creating project is in electronics with GoerTek Inc.a subcontractor toApplesubcontractor, which has announced the creation of 40,000 jobs at a video/audio component production site in Vietnam.

The best project, according to our Usine du Futur rating, is also a "fab" plant in semiconductors. The Japanese KIOXIA Groupproducer of memory chips, has installed a factory featuring AI-based manufacturing technology, an earthquake-resistant architectural structure and energy-efficient manufacturing equipment using renewable energy sources.

There are also 14 projects for new renewable energy power plants, 16 projects for the production of medicines and/or biomedicines, 8 cement manufacturing projects, 7 solar panel production projects, and 6 battery projects, ...
